(I prefer the term Pit to pitizen, which sounds too formal, like a word only a GD-izen would use. Pit seems to suit the mood here.) **Why do some Pits use Fuck every other word?** I have some theories: - They didn’t know it was allowed, and are trying to shock. - They did know, and are trying this out for the first time anywhere in their lives. (“Checking their Wow Power” as Ann Landers describes it.) - They ran out of things to say and hope no one will notice. - They aren’t getting any and it is a cry for help. - They have a stuck key on the keyboard, the one they mapped to the fuck macro. Discarded theories: - They hope to be considered sailors. This can’t be true because everybody knows sailors are not so stupid. They have better swear words and phrases. - They saw too many David Mamet plays or movies. This can’t be true, because he limits fucks to 4 per sentence, and twelve per actual injury, such as a papercut. The Pits I’m talking about use fuck much more frequently. **Anyone else have a guess?** ---

I use it only when angry, it gets the point across like nothing else can. If I use it more than once, then be glad I don’t have ChiefScotts job, because I would be pushing buttons. * * * Ayesha, I miss Wally ---

Actually, it’s a secret code. Regulars pass messages to the Administrators to discuss who the Secret Cabal is going to ban this time around. For example: “I can’t stand this fucking TV show! What goat felcher came up with this idea?” lets others know that I consider casdave tiring in his remarks, and to add one black mark to her tally. Conversely, “I can’t fucking stand this fucking piece of crap on the TV! What insane ass-sucking fuckhead came up with this idea?” lets other know that FreakFreely has made the horrible mistake of actually bettering me in a Great Debate, and therefore must be hounded until he commits suicide, where upon we will ban him. Watch carefully, and maybe soon _you’ll_ be able to decipher the code. ---

I for one certainly prefer excessive profanity to excessive ignorance. I’ve been guilty of the first a few times (here, IRL it’s too many to count), you’re guilty of the second. Of course, inserting the number of “fucks” you deserve would make this read badly, so I left them out. Except this: fuck off and die you pissant motherfucker. ---
