Sometime, try this: Get a big ol’ juicer and juice up about a litre-and-a-half’s worth of carrot, beet, and spinach. Knock it back with breakfast and wait a bit.The result is something like a collaboration between Walt Disney and H.R. Geiger.

Why has no one mentioned the squeaky teeth syndrome from raw spinach?

Baby Spinach - raw in salads, for more substance than your normal lettuce. Tossed through pasta to just wilt, or on pizza or toasted sammiches. Yum.

Full grown spinach - I buy it frozen, so usually I’ll sautee it until it’s just hot, toss in some garlic, chilli and lemon juice and eat it like that. Or again, I’ll mix it through a creamy sauce or add it into a spinach and potato pie.

But sometimes, spinach and butter is just good. I never thought of trying spinach with soy, but I will next time I cook some.

Why do they cook any vegetable? I much prefer raw vegetables to cooked.

And if you forget to wash it, you might get the gritty teeth syndrome.

Find a good japanese restaurant and order some goma-ae. The way it is served at my favorite place is with a fantastic sesame sauce. You’ll never go back.
