Why do they serve so many side dishes with restaurant chicken?

So is bun the Canadian equivalent for biscuit?

I’m not sure. By “bun” I meant a bread roll. I’m not sure what kind of biscuit is served with meat/chicken elsewhere.

Canadian restaurants rarely offer Southern-style biscuits on the menu. Popeye’s is one exception.

Because just because you’re eating a bird doesn’t mean you want to eat like one. Some people actually have an appetite and want to get a good amount of food for their dollar.

I’m prone to being slightly overweight and often overeating, and I usually find chicken with all the side dishes a bit too much for me to finish.
