Why do we draw and photograph autos facing to the left?

Just Google search for car models, not “picture of a car”.

“BMW models”: 1st page or so shows 23 to the left, 2 to the right. A couple facing forward.

“Chevy models”: 23 to 3

“Jaguar models”, didn’t do an exact count but it was obvious they are more nearly equal, so the ‘driver’s side’ theory looks plausible.

But Toyota models and Chrysler models are close to even when I do the search.
