# Why do we get bags under our eyes?

Millions,  
I look like shit. I feel like shit. And I have discolored bag under my eyes. I know these come from a lack of sleep, but can someone drop some science on me? Why do we get bags under our eyes?

Finally! A voice of reason in the midst of all these science-slinging fools!

(It has something to do with the skin there being especially thin, so things show through better, IIRC.)
