Why do we *need* remote controls?

I’ve never quite understood the “eject” button on a remote. What’s it going to do? Shoot the dvd across the room to you on the couch?

I’ve never quite understood the “eject” button on a remote. What’s it going to do? Shoot the dvd across the room to you on the couch?

It’s so you can be ultra-efficient with your free time and eject the DVD while you are walking across the room to the DVD player.

Or so you can hit the Eject button and say to your kid “Hey, put muh next Beavis & Butthead DVD in. Huh huh huh.”
