The whole “Charter member” or not - I don’t care about. What I was focused on is that, in the future, membership itself would be free. Posters would be allowed to pay a fee in order to not see ads. and the one poster I named specifically stated that they’d want some designation to be apparent, so that other posters would know that “wring paid to not see ads, but Guin didn’t” and I want to know why on earth would anyone give a shit?

There’s any number of reasons some one would opt to pay to not see ads or opt to not pay and thus see ads. I don’t see why it would be anyone else’s business, nor do I understand why anyone else would care at all what the other persons choice is. a serious “what the fuck?”

I say we totally do away with the title distinctions and go back to the old system of Arrogant Elitist '99ers, the Awesome Gang who joined in 2000, and the rest of you unwashed masses. It worked fine for years.

I’ve changed my mind. After my experience with the board this afternoon, I agree with mhendo. If that’s what it takes to bring the board forward to the 1990s, then kill our Charter Member status.
