Hilary. Theresa Heinz-Kerry (was in the pit quite a little bit two months ago) Dianne Feinstein Nancy Pelosi Ann Coulter draws derision as a yellow journalist. Not as a conservative woman. I disagree with her views, but I disagree with **urban chic’s** views, too. The difference being, **urban chic** can back up what she says, and doesn’t feel the need to distort the facts or flat out lie when it suits her purpose. ---

Brutus… Moore does make some good points. From Bush’s failed business career to the cozy relationship with the Saudis. He might infer way to much… but you can’t compare that with Coulter saying Canadians should be happy they are allowed to be in the same continent. ---

Is there any conservative here willing to give me an answer? Why do you tolerate and endorse this type of hypocracy in prominent journalists and politicians inside your party? Why do you criticize the so-called liberal media for its bias and misleading stories, but defend people like Ann Coulter and John Hannity when they do the exact same thing? ---

I understand why they support them. I just don’t understand how they can smugly claim to be superior, and when called on the carpet about their actions, say “But he did it FIRST!” And then, when called on it, change the subject and act like they did nothing wrong at all. Where’s the accountability conservatives proudly spout about all the time? ---

I don’t criticize Ann Coulter because she’s a conservative woman. There are so many better reasons. I criticize her because she’s a hate-filled, venomous, judgemental demagogue harpy. She’s impugned the patriotism of triple-amputee war veterans by spreading vile lies, and she publically called for the execution of John Walker “to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed too”. In her pride she has given herself the moral authority to judge me and anyone who thinks like me as “evil”. I’m a liberal agnostic university professor who favours gay marriage, legal access to abortion, and strict separation of church and state; as such, Ann Coulter and her ilk have made it abundently clear that they view me as an enemy and have given no indication that they will back down from that view, ever. Why on earth should I be expected _not_ to criticize that, with all the force I can muster? ---

I put Coulter and Franken in the same boat; clowns not to be taken seriously. Why anyone would get worked up about either of them is beyond me. With regards to Coulter being a Libertarian, as far as I know she’s firmly opposed to legalizing drugs. I’m pretty sure Libertarians make you shoot up heroin to prove you’re one of them. Or something like that… ---
