# Why does everyone hate Voyager?

The ONLY neat thing about Voyager is that they showed the ship land.

Hey Harry! Look sincere. Great! Now look confused. No, not sincere, confused. Okay, now look passionate …  
Whatcha drinkin there, cap’n? “Hot coffee, black.” Ya mean you can build the most super ship in the quadrant (Delta Flyer) out of spare parts and such, but your friggin replicator can’t remember how you take your coffee?

Petty? ME? No, I’m not petty!

I’m always amazed at how many of Voyagers strongest critics have seen _every single freakin’ episode_. If I hated a show that much, I’d just stop watching.

I did, around the middle of the 5th season. Which is why I hate the show: it made me give up on Trek.

As the producers tell it, Bujold voluntarily left after the first day of shooting because she perceived, and they agreed, that she didn’t have the presence to be a captain. As in, “warp 9, engage, _s’il tu plais_.”

As for what was wrong with Voyager, ask [The Cynic](http://www.cynicscorner.org/voy_7/voy_7s.html) **(CAUTION: Contains “Endgame” spoilers)**. Or go back in time with Jammer at [http://www.st-hypertext.com/voy-2/voy-2recap.html](http://www.st-hypertext.com/voy-2/voy-2recap.html) for, well, a recap of Season 2, which locked the series into a dreadful pattern.

I didn’t hate it, I just thought it was weak and didn’t like it. OTOH, the princess loved it, and now tunes into the reruns. But then, she watches the original ST reruns too. I thought TNG was good, but for my couch potato buck, DS9 was the most entertaining of the Trek programs. The jury is still out on the new series, but after seeing 2 episodes, well…, let’s just say that the death penaly may need to be invoked.
