I thought about tacking this post to this [thread on spelling](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=411229&highlight=fergie), but my questions and comments are Fergie specific, and I didn’t want to hijack that thread. That being said, Fergie is my current crack. I literally cannot turn off the radio when I hear Fergilicious, London Bridge (ok, so I guess she doesn’t spell in that), and now G-l-a-m-o-r-o-u-s. Does she spell in the rest of the album. My gf thinks I’m insane and secretly in love with Fergie. I think she’s semi-good-looking. Glamorous is a perfect example. I think she is ugly in exactly half of the video. And, what’s up with Ludacris? Is he really a bona fide rapper? He didn’t display much of any skillz in that video. I thought he was an actor first, and I thought that Chicken N Beer stuff was a joke – literally. My cousin said that he was going to be the next big thing since NWA (thus proving my theory that he may be on crack.) I’m really behind on my rap, and will only listen to what the radio spits out. Glamorous is an all right track. It’s not as crackilicious as what I’ve heard so far. I actually said to my gf, “Do you know what would make this song even better? That’s right, more spelling.” ---

Well, I don’t know what to tell you about Miss Fergie’s spelling, but I can tell you I am jealous, JEALOUS, of her. Why? I saw that god awful Poseidon movie last night and Fergie was in it. But that’s not what bothered me. She got to hug Andre Braugher! She got to hug Andre Braugher! Oh, I so wanted to ber her for that twenty seconds. Sigh. ---

I think it goes with that “Check it Out” thing she does. Some part of her is still likes that 80’s rap sound. ---

Her lyrics are pretty funny, but I can’t take her seriously as a performer. Still…D to the E to the L I C I O U S, to the D to the E to the L I C I O U S…hit it Fergie. ---

She didn’t write “Glamorous.” And I see EIGHT credited writers on the Wikipedia entry for “Fergalicious”; there’s no way to tell if she came up with the spelling part or one of the seven people helping her did. ---

Who is this Fergie person? Isn’t there a somewhat royal Fergie person in the UK lineage? This isn’t her, right? And what’s with the urinary incontinence, is it part of the stage act or something? She’s a rapper? Is wetting your pants somehow associated with rap? (I’m feeling immensely clueless and untuned-in) ---

This Fergie is Stacy Ferguson, singer for The Black Eyed Peas. She’s now known as Fergie, but as a child she appeared on Kids Incorporated as Stacy. She’s a former crystal meth addict, and I did hear once that the urination incident had something to do with her prior drug use, but Wikipedia has a quote from her about the incident that just says “I had a few drinks before the show, but I didn’t think to go to the bathroom before we went onstage. We were jumping around…and my bladder just started.” ---
