He does not.
I’m just saying I think the author’s comments back up my original impulse: that the film is more Kubrick’s than Nabokov’s.
Well, from what I recall, Kubrick mainly chopped Nabokov’s script down to a more managable size.

What gives? me not wanting to hijack, (now I’m doing it again!), & wanting to keep my post short. I did realize the Catholic Church was not affliated with the ChildCare Action Project. I was just associating the two as I didn’t realize there would be film reviews at that link & it is interesing to me to read different perspectives on films. I’d heard of the ‘the list’ meaning the ACC film reviews as a child, but I was not raised Catholic & never got to see it until I had the internet. I am happy I can now read it online.[/hijack]
This just in: Esquire magazine’s 70th anniversary issue names Lolita as the best novel of the last 70 years.
Esquire magazine is run by misogynistic pornographers who make buffalo tenders out of aborted fetuses! Obviously!
I found a reference to a parody short story calledColitas today. It has Humbert driving across country fantasizing about denture wearing octagenarians. I had two thoughts in reference to this:
What would Anniee say?
I guess *Lolita * has now made the big time and is a part of our social consciousness.
That happened a long time ago. Like when Lolita began to discribe child porn. Which is what I think really has Ainnee’s panties in a bunch.
Lolita=child porn=horrible nasty book read by pedaphiles.
