# Why does my 7-year-old keep getting nosebleeds?

I started getting nosebleeds after I got measles as a kid. Something about it must have affected the tissue over the blood vessels.

I still get them, mostly when I have a cold. It’s no big deal to me – they stop after a few minutes. Often, I’ll just sit and wait them out and then go about my business.
