Check for insects as advised. If it’s still a problem check the little holes on the burner unit, it doesn’t take much for them to get partially blocked with built up soot and grease, or just dust and dirt. And maybe you need a new regulator, not that expensive. Or it wasn’t a couple of years ago, who knows now?
There is a device inside propane hoses that can get wonky or need to be “reset” for lack of a better term, too. I only learned of this feature by reading user forums, but these are hoses used on appliances that have their own built-in regulator. I only mention it because there are a few show stoppers that aren’t necessarily intuitive, including bugs/insects.
Again, I appreciate all the replies, but the issue seems to be specific to this one propane tank. I will know better this week when I use the other tank.
