# Why does my iPad do this?

Turn it on. Enter my webmail URL. Access mail. Exit. When I re-enter the webmail URL my iPad hangs up. I am not able to re-access webmail server until I restart the iPad.

Any idea?

I don’t have an answer as to why webmail is behaving that way, but have you tried force-quitting Safari instead of restarting? To force-quit, you double-click the home button and then click on the X on the Safari icon in the list at the bottom (this has changed for iOS 7, if you’ve upgraded - you flick the Safari window upwards to quit in iOS 7).

Seems like your webmail service is crashing Safari. I’d report this to your webmail service provider.

In the meantime, have you tried using the preinstalled Mail app?

What exactly do you mean when you say your ipad hangs up?

You can set you mail app to access most webmail services. If they have a SMTP/POP3 or IMAP setup, use those settings and your mail app should be able to pull your mail.
