# Why does Orbitz do this to my computer?

Whenever I go on [ORBITZ](http://www.orbitz.com/App/ViewFlightSearchResults?retrieveParams=true&z=885e&r=rq&z=8860&r=rs&lastPage=interstitial)  
to look up flight information/prices, my computer runs slow & “herky jerky”, and the fan on my computer starts running full blast. As soon as I click to some other site all this stops. This doesn’t happen anywhere else on the web. What gives?

Just tried it and have no problems with it.

Athlon 64 3200+, 1Gig connection speed.

I notice that site runs a lot of scripts (in-browser programs) inside its web pages; it’s not just showing text.

How old is your computer? How powerful?

The particular machine this is happening to is an Emachine with a 80GB hard drive.  
I checked the processes and it has tons of memory to spare. I added 2 million about a year ago and have never needed that much.

I use Road Runner cable modem.

That’s the only web site this happens on. It’s really annoying and ssssslooooow!

Mine does weird things when I log into [bearforest.com](http://bearforest.com), a gay personals site. It freezes Firefox for a couple of minutes, and if I use a different browser window, everything I type is backwards.
