# why does SDMB clear my cookies?

I have to log in every time, even though I checked the “Remember me” box. I’ve checked my browser cookie settings.

Oh. This is happening to me too. I thought it was because I had a computer problem and had to reset my browser preferences. Couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong adn why my setting weren’t working.

So it’s not just me?

Can’t see why this would be a problem. I guess we need to ask those of you who are having this situation what you use to access the Dope; we’ve had some browser issues of late.

I’m not having this problem, but I’m on Win98/IE 6.0. The board remembers me fine.

So please tell me your OS and browser and we’ll start looking for what might be causing this.

My problem actually sorted itself out once I had Norton utilities fix some errors it found with my browser. It was weird. And it seems to be just a coincidence that it was glitchy at the same time as the OP. All seems fine now.

Well, except the Quick Reply box, but I blame Micro$oft and not the Dope. (Works fine on the other browser.)

It’s been doing it to me too.

OS: Windows XP home edition  
Browser: Netscape 7.2

I’ve been prowling out to figure out if something’s gone kerphlooey on my end; haven’t identified anything. It’s not a huge problem, but FWIW.
