So, to kill some time before Lost came on, hubby and I watched the last few minutes of the 80s classic _Sixteen Candles._ When it came to one of the last scenes at the wedding, we started discussing the reasons why the little Poltergeist-fighting organist squeaked when she walked. I thought it was because her artificial hip (or knee) was squeaking; hubby thought it was a bottle of booze in her purse. Google was not being supportive of my quest for this knowledge. Any ideas or theories on what it could be? ---

I thought I heard the sloshing of booze in her purse, but I also thought she was wearing some kind of wickedly extreme orthopedic shoes or shoe inserts that made a squeaky noise when she walked. Although now I think about it, I have no idea why I thought this. ---

I don’t understand how a bottle of booze would cause her to squeak. I haven’t seen the movie recently, so maybe I’m just not picturing it. ---

Although now I think about it, I have no idea why I thought this. I think this is correct. It’s one of my favorite movies and I’ve seen it too many times to count. Of course since this has been my interpretation of it since the first time I saw it I don’t really pay particular attention to it and may be missing something. Will have to watch that scene and see if I pick up on anything.
