Nope, care to share?

By the way I wasn’t implying that there weren’t other CT’s around the world, it just seems most of the high profile ones are US based. But maybe that’s partly the whole ‘cultural imperialism’ thing.

And certainly the average American does not have a monopoly on stupid. Funnily enough my Mother in Law is a firm believer in the moon landings being faked. It’s terribly hard on the very rare occasion it comes up to keep a straight face. Which reminds me, of another one I didn’t mention, she also firmly believes Marilyn Monroe was murdered.

> Hey, good for the goose, good for the gander. Point me to any serious national politician in the US who believes in WTC, JFK or other far out conspiracies. But you assert that our politicians are building political platforms on the Grassy Knoll. That’s interesting.

Well, the far out “climategate” conspiracy that claims that climate scientists were caught conspiring to change their data \*\*is \*\*believed by yahoos like senator Inhofe (R, undead) and almost all republican leaders, [never mind that at the time already serious reports pointed at no conspiracy from the climate scientists](http://thinkprogress.org/romm/2009/11/24/205013/hackergate-hacked-cru-emails-climategate/), and [never mind that later the evidence and investigations found that the scientists were not involved in anything bad, the conspiracy is still believed by the leaders of the Republican party and so they stop and discourage any efforts to do anything regarding emission controls](http://thinkprogress.org/green/2011/08/22/301163/nsf-investigation-exonerates-hockey-stick-scientist-michael-mann/).

BTW, the crazy Norwegian guy also fell for this conspiracy and mentioned it as one of the reasons for his rampage.
