# Why does your heart hurt?

Why is it that your heart hurts when something extremely sad occurs? or that you get butterflies in your stomach at those “magical moments”? Are there neurotransmitters surrounding your stomach and heart which take orders from what’s going on in your brain? What causes these peculiar sensations?

In addition, please excuse me for my deluge of initial posts. These are questions I have accumulated over the past year that I haven’t been able to find any decent answers to. Thanks in advance for everyone’s input. 🙂

well that’s rather unfortunate. are these really scientific mysteries? does CECIL know the answer?!!
