# Why Doesn't Congress Subpoena Trump's Tax Docs?

the most interesting thing they could show is the lengths at which he goes to fabricate his worth in order to get loans, etc and then how far he devalues same property in order to avoid taxes on it. But this takes more than just his tax returns - it also takes the loan docs, etc.

The people that voted for him already know that he avoided paying ANY taxes for close to a decade and don’t care - since Trump says “its smart to not pay taxes”

That’s true about taxable assets, but knowing Trump, he’d just proclaim that he holds his billions in gold bars, diamonds, and/or in off shore bank accounts because he’s too smart to pay taxes on his wealth & is just working the system. And his base will be satisfied with that explanation :dubious:
