Agreed, he hardly ever picks his nose up off the ground. And if I didn’t have him on a lead when outdoors I would definitely have to chase him to the next county.

We had dachshunds mostly, but we had one beagle. The beagle bark/howled a lot, yeah, but nobody out-barks a dachshund. They bark continuously and loudly.

Heh, in 45+ years, I can remember a horse in sight of home twice: a neighbor of my parents’ hired a team of two horses, driver, and cart for old timey rides around the block (I wasn’t invited). And the Chicago Police did an Equestrian Patrol demo for a block party by my place about ten years ago.
