# Why doesn't the government index "part II" crimes?

Crimes like embezzlement, prostitution, fraud, blackmail. . .

Before I jump to a major conspiracy theory conclusion I thought I’d ask the Teeming Millions for the rationale behind this. Is it cost? Does the government not care if embezzlement is on the rise? Just not newsworthy enough?
