Let’s get this out of the way - yes this is a first world problem. Ok, my nails grow fast so I’m frequently having to trim them. But it’s a hassle because when I press on the clippers half of the time the slip sideways out of my hand. It seems like if the ends were rubberized they would be so much better. ---

I just bought a pair of nail clippers a couple weeks ago which have rubberized handles. The ones I had before that, which I lost, had slightly grippy plastic handles which I wouldn’t call rubberized but were better than metal. In other words, look around, they are out there. ---

Hmm, a quick google search didn’t show anything on the front page. Still I’d think they would be more common. ---

And while we’re on the subject: Why don’t fingernail/toenail clippers have some mechanism to catch the clippings so they don’t fly all over the place? :mad: Are they intended to be used only outdoors? ---

I had a pretty slippy pair once. I put a little strip of duct tape. Worked like a charm. Easy peasy! You have duct tape, don’t you? ---

Aha. There’s even a brick-and-mortified walmart within a day’s drive of me. I should go check it out. I’m offended, though, that the product description on that page specifically describes it as a girl thing. What, we male he-men aren’t supposed to clip our nails too? I didn’t even know they gender segregated nail clippers until now. I never used the tweezers though, but the fingernail clippers and toenail clippers have been the best I’ve ever used. ---

That is, it was a liquid that you could dip your tool handles in and it would dry into a “rubber” coating. I can’t suggest using it because I don’t know if it’s a decent product or not. Does anyone have experience with dip-it rubber coating? Because if it works, you could buy any kind of nail clippers and then dip the relevant bits. ---
