Why don't cop cars follow ambulances to pull over inconsiderate drivers?

Heh. A fire truck was once making it up the climb to the top of Hoosier pass (where I live) it was going maybe 20mph where people generally go 50mph. Lights and sirens going.

He was getting passed by cars going up. It was sad, and, well a little funny.

The County Sheriff’s office is closed, as in nobody at all on duty in the office or out patrolling between 11pm and 7am.

911 would have to send the State Patrol. There are no local cops. Well the closest town has a cop car, but they put a mannequin in it and park in on the side of the road. Fake speed trap.

We are a bit on our own.
