Doing a “Eskimo kiss” makes me feel pretty good.
When I was a infant, mum used to rub my middle of my forehead, the spot in between your eyes, where the bridge of your nose starts, and half way up it, to get me to sleep. it still feels nice.
My neck is sensitive. but it’s quite a personal thing for me. I can’t stand people I’m not close to touching my neck.
mrAru can get me to go to sleep by massaging that spot between my eyes ,… and I love gentle massage everywhere except my feet. I used to love a good foot massage, but now the damage from the CPPD makes it too painful for them to be touched.
Make that three. Horses have a similar spot at the bottom of the mane, where the neck joins the spine, that is a favorite scratching spot. You will often see 2 horses standing next to each other, facing opposite directions, and each using their teeth to scratch that spot on the back of the other.
Attack of the scritchel zombies! Run for your lives… but someone scratch my back first? Higher… lower… left a bit… your other lef… ahhhhh, right there. OHMYGAWD the hand’s not attached to anything!
Me: I’d like a hair cut please.
Hair stylist: Sure, have you washed your hair in the last 24 hours?"
Me (lying): Ah noooo, sorry. I think I washed it the day before yesterday… so I guess you’ll have to wash it then?"
I have a beard, and I once had a girlfriend who was tremendously entertained by the fact that if she scritched me under the chin, I reacted just like her cats, tilting my chin forward and closing my eyes.
So, yeah, just confirm that me and husband are totally weird, why don’tcha.
Sheesh.
(Also - I have more scritchy spots than not scritchy spots. I’m a total touch whore - it’s all good. Favorite spots are the bridge of the nose, the temples, the base of my neck, and my hands, wrists, and forearms.)
Another good one for people who are on their feet a lot is to use your thumbs to separate the long muscles in their legs - it makes my husband turn into a twitching mass of happy overwhelmed goo.
Stroke upwards on the right side of the back of my neck and it sends little orgasmic shocks down my back to there. My ex was great at it, unfortunately the current boyfriend does rubs like a Neandertal.
Like the OP, I don’t have any such spots. But I think it is fairly common since I have actually been accused of lying when asked if touching a particular spot/area was pleasant in any way and I’ve denied it.
I suppose I’m envious though. I’m not sure. I’ve never understood why people are so eager to spend good money for a massage - or even chiropractic treatment. If I were to pay someone to touch me, there would only be one objective, and honestly, even that is something I would never seriously consider.
I HAVE been accused of being incredibly insensitive, but that’s almost always been out of ignorance and/or stupidity. Maybe it’s more than just a personality flaw. Hmmm. I guess I could just be defective though. Six of one, half dozen of the other . . .
