# Why don't they have a plain snowboarding downhill event?

Snowboarders don’t seem to have any equivalent to the skiing downhill race, where the best time wins. They do have parallel giant slalom, but that’s head-to-head so not quite the same, plus it’s a slalom. Why no downhill love?
