That was actually dealt with in a column (which I’m not goint to hunt down and link to). The basic answer is that processed pet foods tend to be made from leftover parts from processing plants that make people food. When mice and songbirds become popular people foods around these parts, I’m sure there will be cat foods made from the mouse and songbird parts that people don’t care for. ---

Why are “pizza-flavored” chips/snacks always _cheese_ pizza? Not a hint of meat flavor anywhere! I’d love to have “Meat-Lover’s Pizza” potato chips or Doritos. Also, I’d love for a US snackfood company to sell bacon-flavored potato chips. Why should the Canadians have all the fun? ---

There’s a brand carried here up at the market that has pepperoni pizza potato chips. They are extremely strong. I find them overpowering. And bright red! ---
