And toes are one of the least complicated parts of the whole woman. Much less the whole of women. It’s complexity all the way down. 🙂 But wonderful complexity. _vive la complexitie!_ ---

One time my boss mentioned how she was going to leave the house in sandals and had to hurriedly paint her toenails. I didn’t realize that was required, since I wear sandals April through November and don’t paint my nails. Maybe some folks have discolored nails or something; that would make sense. Anyhoo, I would get a pedicure just to have all the callouses removed. Ever since I heard about nail fungus being spread by communal polish, I would skip the polish part. And no calf massage - I always wear pants and I don’t shave, so really, spend all the time on heel and toe calluses and cracked heels. ---

A large majority of men that I know do not take care of their toes, let alone even their feet. If men are “allowed” to go about with nasty feet, why aren’t women? The cost to maintain a pedicure at all times is outrageous. Even if the cost wasn’t an issue, or you have the talent to give yourself a pedicure; who has the time to constantly bother with it? If our feet are generally covered inside boots or the like during the winter, who cares? At least women for the most part trim their nails on a regular bases, unlike most men I know. You and your creepy foot fetish can just deal until summer like the rest of the world. ---

Because women don’t exist for your sole entertainment? Because I don’t want to be unwitting and non-consenting party to your fetish? (Also: gross, Dude) Because I do what makes me happy, not what makes you happy? Because I don’t care that my toes make a stranger sad? Because one of the more unsettling things about wearing sandals, open-toed shoes, and a nice pedicure is having a peculiar stranger follow me around and stare at my feet. Because having a strange foot fetishist repelled instead of attracted to my feet is a feature, not a bug? ---
