You should think of this person as a sick friend. Perhaps something has happened to her recently that if you knew about it you would completely understand. Perhaps her deadbeat live in boyfriend just beat the shit out of her for leaving dishes in the sink even though the dishwasher was running and she was coming right back and the rest of her house is immaculate. Then she walks by your house and thinks, why does this person get away with this obvious unkempt behavior? You never know the situation the other person is in. Have you ever been rude to someone because something was happining in your life that had nothing to do with the person you were rude to? I have. ---

If she has a boyfriend/husband who beats her, there’s a solution to that and it doesn’t involve getting pissy with neigbors. But you’re right about not knowing where she’s comeing from.
