If there is a god, I do not beleive he would send somebody like you, someone so judgemental, someone who sounds so self-involved. Based on your posts in this thread, I do not beleive that you care wether or not any of us go to hell, only yourself. You seem to only the credit for being the one to tell us what is right and wrong. If there is a god, they and only they can tell me what is right and wrong. You are not that deity. You are a person and as a person, you have no more authority than I do to decide what is morally right and wrong. ---

And it is for God to judge **vanilla** , not you. You seem to be forgetting that you are a weak imperfect sinner. I’ve never had an abortion. Does that give me the right to look down on you and condemn you? I’ve been married to the same man for over 20 years now. You are not married at this timeand yet you have a child. Does that make me better than you? Every other religion has the same eschatological fantasies of judgment when the sinners will be punuahed and the righteous exalted–I don’t believe the Muslims either when they talk about the Day of Judgement, and their book is newer than yours. What’s sad is that this new crowd has so thoroughly brainwashed you, just like when you were soooo convinced that the Mormons were following the True Path. Maybe I missed something, but a link to Cybill Shepherd’s actual remarks at the pro-abortion rights rally would be nice, so we could decide if she actually was calling opponents “idiots” (as **vanilla** has been doing, with apparently no sense of irony). I’m still waiting for an answer to my question about why Christians have cornered the market on morals. Add to this another question – where in the Bible does it say that abortion is a sin? ---

Sometimes I wish the Bible really were true. Well at least the part about the rapture taking people like **vanilla** away and leaving all of us godless types behind. In my part of the country the traffic would get a lot better too. Housing prices would fall though, slackening demand don’t ya know. ---

Back to our regularly scheduled rant: Vanilla, you still haven’t explained how abortion is a bad thing, yet it is a pardonable offense. Is it wrong or isn’t it? If it’s wrong, how are you going to get on the “up” esacalator, so to speak? And, by the way…the “Junior Mod for God” thing is obnoxious. If he’s around, I’m sure he can do his own chastising without help from a big sinner like you. ---
