# Why Florida law?

I was looking at the board’s terms of use. The SDMB is based out of Chicago, Illinois but the terms of use include this:

Creative Loafing, which owns The Chicago Reader, has headquarters in Tampa, FL.

I believe that the parent company, Creative Loafing, is based in Tampa.

They are correct – CL is based in Tampa.
