I know I’m going to regret asking this, but: If the #1 rule of the SDMB is “don’t be a jerk,” and no one seems to be able to find any evidence of his behaving in any other way than jerkishly, why hasn’t he been banned? **braces for pileon** ---

People, the word is _pile_\*-\*_on_. The hyphen is important. I just spent a good two minutes trying to figure out if the word pillion was being misspelt and misused where pillory was intended or what. ---

I think it would be wrong to ban Badchad just because he is a fundamentalist Christian bigot. ---

I’m just going to guess that _since his return from suspension_, he hasn’t quite crossed the line to bannable jerkery. His thread about tomndebb may not be pleasant, but it’s nothing to ban someone over. Here’s another answer. Because bannings aren’t decided by popular opinion. He’ll be banned when the mods decide that he has broken the rules, not because he’s unpopular. A better question, posed rather largely by Autolycus, is whether or not we need another thread about Badchad. His tomndebb thread is already quite the “look at badchad” fest already. Stop feeding his inflated ego. ---

In each of the other two, however, there are about a half dozen things being discussed, and I’m not seeing a simple answer to a simple question. Thus this thread. If a mod could come in and explain, I’d be very grateful. ---

It’s the pattern of harrassment, the same pattern of harrassment he displayed when he was stalking Polycarp. And, it’s for the same reason- their faith. So he’s not only a stalker, he’s a bigot. What is the clincher is that we was warned then suspended then came back 100% unrepentant snd doing it again. ---

I’m not going to accuse the mods of looking for a reason to ban him, but I don’t think they’re inclined to give him a very long leash either. **DrDeth** , I’m aware of his past posting history. You say he’s “doing it again.” Has he resumed the stalking of the liberally religious or are we just going by the Tomndebb thread and assuming that he’s right back at it? ---

Twin, even if you got 500 replies to this thread \*\* badchad \*\* would be his usual weaselly self and not pay up, claiming, for whatever jerkish reasons of his own, that there had been no pile-on. He will lie, evade, or do whatever it takes. So don’t plan on where to spend that money yet. ---

Although opinon is split among the mods, as of right now the consensus is that **badchad** ’s behavior since his return from suspension has not sufficiently over the line so as to merit banning. ---
