Which was, in fact, _literally_ born as an adaptation of a transcript of an RPG campaign. If we allow anime, there’s quite a few of them based on dungeon crawling: [Tower of Druaga](https://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=5503) and [Danmachi](https://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=10894) for example. Then there’s a whole sub-genre of “people stuck inside a MMORPG world” anime, those tend to have dungeon crawling as well. ---

I haven’t seen the whole movie, but the trailer for [Dave Made A Maze](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzikIwPPle0) might be a twist on this idea. ---

We were building characters for our latest campaign, and our DM said, “I have one request: no bards. There’s going to be a lot of action in this adventure, and you guys should have characters that are capable of… doing stuff.” ---
