So, a series about special people psychically bonded to their giant flying lizards? How are you going to convince today’s kids it isn’t an _Eragon_ ripoff? ---

The first two-thirds of _Dragonflight_ was excellent, on the whole. But dragging in time travel was a huge cop-out and caused more problems than it solved. Anne seems to have a bit of a thing for this whole brilliant but unrecognised girl protagonist shtick, doesn’t she? @ **Mr Dibble** : Kinda like how Pratchett now has people telling him that _Equal Rites_ seems derivative of Harry Potter, no? ---
