Why hasn't Colin Farell been charged with rape?

In other news, any 13-yr. old that can pony up $15 may become a legitimate member of the SDMB. As such, he or she can search and find answers to questions related to pan-fried semen, learn techniques to enhance his/her partner’s enjoyment of oral sex and find out what percent of women like to take it in the ass. Where’s the outrage? There is no outrage? Why not?
Because there’s no harm in it.

Most any 13/14-year old pretty much understands what goes on in the world. In the case of this message board and the subject movie: No harm, no foul.

I really hate to see this thread die: It’s provided good reading for the past several days. Ah, well…

I agree 100%.

Well, you are right that it “[a]in’t happening, not here, not anywhere,” but not for the reasons you want to pretend.

If you want to back out of this thread, I think that that is a good idea, but you should note that I have mostly been puzzled by your odd dishonest stand in the OP and each of my posts has followed one in which you passed up the opportunity to acknowledge your false statements.

Since my mere presence seems to have threatened you, I will not persist in my questions, but I still find it odd that you refuse to recognize that your OP was based on a completely false claim.

I’m not sure what you’re saying here.

Yeah, I read somewhere, that there are some really hot sex scenes in this movie!

There are.

In Cartooniverse’s imagination.

Maybe he wants there to be sex scenes because he has a thing for Miss Kilcher (or Colin Farrell) and that’s why he’s ignoring people who are insisting they don’t exist, and why he won’t go see for himself. He prefers his imagination’s version of the movie.

The amusing thing is that I haven’t seen the film.

However I have read the thread and trust the SDMB posters who have seen it (especially since they all agree).

I also think I can tell the difference between the posters in this thread who have seen the film … and Cartooniverse.

 Ah, well…

Not that it makes a darned bit of difference, but I’m wondering why Farrell was singled out for unwarranted attack and not Bale, who actually marries the young woman.
Never mind.

Hey! Now that you mention it, why hasn’t…

bang! bang!

n…n…never…mind.

poor horse

Say… You don’t think that Cartooniverse might just be working for a competing studio and was just trying to get some bad word-of-mouth publicity going, do you? Perhaps to hurt the films box office or whatnot?

Just a theory mind you, but it might explain his insistant ignoring of the facts, and the continuing repitition of lies.
Hmmm…

It’s certainly crossed my mind, though my focus was more on awards season, since I never expected TNW to do any kind of box office anyway. But…

We went to the movies last night and The New World was sold out at least one showing. Our first movie was at 5:40 and when I looked at TNW showtimes the next showing was flashing SOLD OUT SOLD OUT SOLD OUT. I was shocked and very very pleased. I guess those people don’t read the SDMB.

(Btw, Paradise Now, which is one of the 3 movies we saw, is very very very good. I must look and see if it’s eligible for an Academy Award nomination.)

More likely he works for the same studio. No such thing as bad publicity, and all that.
