You know what? It doesn’t matter. I see we have a newcomer to our boards and this thread to defend the Cowboys. No doubt he’s in high school, and he doesn’t sound very highly ed-ju-ma-kated. So this can go no where. It should have stayed a zombie… RIP, THREAD. ---

You know dude, you don’t have to press “Enter” at the end of every sentence. The software will wrap it for you. Otherwise, it looks really retarded. I believe Landry was in the last year of his contract, and already planned to retire. Jones could’ve let him go gracefully, but instead he decided to dump someone who gave his all to a team, who probably meant more to the franchise than anyone. BTW, the last time the Cowboys won the Super Bowl was when they beat us in Super Bowl XXX. They haven’t been back since. We’ve been back THREE times, and won twice. 8 AFC championships, and 6 Lombardis. The same family has owned the team since its founding. (BTW, for those not aware, Art Rooney was also one of the original owners of the Pittsburgh Penguins – he used his influence to convince the NHL to award Pittsburgh a franchise back in the 1967 expansion. They were leaning towards Buffalo originally. NFL Films did team highlight films for every NFL Team, and some guy who worked for NFL Films tagged the Cowboys (and their highlight film) America’s Team for one of their seasons in the 1970’s. It obviously wasn’t either year the Cowboys lost to the Steelers in the Super Bowl, but I don’t recall what year the name was coined. Is [Dan Rooney](http://www.steelersdepot.com/2014/11/steelers-turned-offer-branded-americas-team-70s/) a good enough source? And besides: We were in _The Dark Knight Rises_. Beat THAT! 😃 ---

Last year was slightly better, but they’re still down from 3 years ago. It’s not the Cowboys who bring in ratings, it’s winning. When Dallas isn’t winning or in the playoffs, they’re not a draw at all.
