Shagnastys’ post is making me crave a Royale W/Cheese
[QUOTE=Lumpy]
I meant in the sense of toilet paper rolls that combine an extremely stiff, hard to turn roll with perforations that tear excessively easy. If you just grab the end of the paper and pull, you get two or three squares. So the only way to get a decent handful of paper is to laboriously turn the roll by hand, getting an inch of feed at a time.

Ah, yes. I know those sucky rolls quite well, now that you put it that way!
[QUOTE=WhyNot]
You can get that for home too, you know. Target or Wal-Mart or even Dollar Tree. I buy one or two bottles a year, and refill it with cheap shampoo - diluted 1:1 or even 1:1.5 with water. Eventually the handle gunks up and won’t pop back up easily, and then I pitch it and start over.

On someone’s advice here at the SDMB, I procured some at the local Saint Vicent DePaul store, which has their Dollar Tree like section. I was sorely disappointed. Perhaps I should try some new mix. The ones at restaurants dispense soap that is almost dry in texture and hold their shapes, such as a meringue. The ones I bought are sloppy and wet, and they don’t hold their shape. It feels much less substantial in the hand than the industrial versions. The soap itself seems quite watery, so perhaps that’s the problem. So am I despicable, white bourgeois because I’m not happy with the charity hand soap that I bought? I almost hate myself for the nature of my response!
