# Why Haven't I Heard Anything About Survivor II?

My last General Question about TV got moved to MPSIMS. So this time I’m just going to save **Manhattan** the effort and open it up here.
What’s the deal with _Survivor II_? Surely they’ve filmed it and given the winner his/her check by now, and CBS crews are hard at work editing it down into 13 enjoyable chunks of reality TV. But unlike the first _Survivor_, I haven’t heard any news stories about ex-contestants charged with child abuse or having to go into therapy or anything like that. Nothing. I’d say either CBS is doing a _very_ good job keeping it all under wraps, or there’s nothing to report.
Can anybody give me anything at all? Names of contestants? Leaks? News stories related to contestants? Anything? _Anything_???

…yes, Tim the Yowie Man. A “yowie” being roughly the Australian equivalent of Bigfoot. Judging from his site, he’s given up cryptozoology for the moment in favour of trying to break into the place where they’re doing Survivor 2. So far, he’s found not very much at all. Although I like how one of the news clippings on his site refers to him as “Mr. The Yowie Man.”

‘Fresh Air’ had an interview with a CBS Vice-President earlier this week. IIRC, all he would divulge about Survivor II was that it was being filmed in the Australian outback, and would be aired in February.
