A couple questions for Yakuza: How old are you? How do you make that $800/month? Do you have a job or live off the govornment? You say “I like drinking, going 2 bars, going 2 movies, video games, internet, and sex. A person can go crazy without this stuff.” I think it is safe to say that we ALL enjoy our hobbies/recreation, but to choose living on the street so you can go to a bar? That’s where you lose me, Yak. Ever thought of getting a real job that would allow you to live like a civilized human being and still have a bit of money left over for fun? ---

I guess you have to support your beliefs, but I figure making the rich man richer doesn’t bother me provided it makes me richer in the process as well. That way I can afford full words. ---

Is the $800/mo earned from an actual employer or are do u panhandle about that much each month (approx $25 a day seems a reasonable amount 2 get @ an intersection in a big city each day) or are udoing something illegal 2 earn this money? If a legit employer, how do u wash ur clothes? Do u wear ur stinky dirty clothes to the job that pays you $800/mo. Where do they let u plug in your video games 2 play for fr3 without giving u trouble/ ---

What city do u live n? Do the cops give u a hard time 4 being homeless? What do u do 4 $800 a month? How do u protect urself from criminals like the 4 real yakuza? What will u do when you r old? Do u want 2 do anything else besides bars and hookers and video games? Do u nv the rich man or r u happy with what u got? R u for real or is this like a test to c what we say? ---

I’ve learned two new terms today. 1- Urban wilderness. 2- Traditional abode (or place 2 stay, if you will). I remember reading a magazine story a number of years ago. It discussed the number of homeless people in New York increasing at about the same rate as the frequency of automobile break-ins and theft. A curious phenomenon developed. Cars that were unlocked at night began being occupied overnight by urban squatters. Not surprisingly, these occupied cars were not vandalized or stolen. And the shelter-challenged individuals had a warm and dry place to sleep. This mutually beneficial relationship was coined “urban symbiosis”. ---

But I imagine it would get boring quickly. Finding a place to sleep and shower would be the hardest part when living that life. How do you sleep in a wi-fi spot? I thought they only had chairs. Do they let you sleep on the couches? ---

From one of Mr. **Yakuza** ’s [recent nearby threads](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=644543) over in IMHO, we know: [ul] [li] He is employed in retail, making $800/mo.[/li][li] He is on a management career path, planning to be a well-paid manager by the year 2025 or so.[/li][li] He does not spend his limited money wantonly nor impulsively, but instead lives on a highly austere and disciplined (but low) budget, choosing deliberately and consciously where he wants to spend his dough.[/li][li] His primary, above-all-else priority in life, on which he has elected to spend about half his income, is sex, for which end he regularly engages escorts he finds on Craigslist. Bars, video games, movies, etc., are all secondary, if even that.[/li][li] He does indeed have long-term plans for his life, as noted above: He will be in retail management in another 10 years or so, whereupon he will be able to afford free girls.[/li][/ul] We are wondering why he needs _more_ money to get _free_ girls. But that was that thread. Now, in response to our many interested queries, Mr. **Yakuza** is kindly splaining to us in more detail, how he lives his nomadic feral life, especially for the benefit of those of us who aspire to live likewise.
