I never believed in magic, or transmogrification. Sure, I’d heard the odd report of a witch turning a man into a newt (I understand he got better), but I didn’t believe until now. I just witnessed John turn a _pseudotriton_ into a _mustella_! ---

There are people out there who are paid to sign up to websites like this one to try to foment argument and raise doubts about left/right candidates. They actually hire people who have no political convictions of any strength, and train them to present contrary opinion. Perhaps OMG is one of them, and that’s why he doesn’t come across as all that sincere. ---

Such namecalling. I mean, I know we’re in the Pit and all, but I keep hoping you’ll offer some small evidence of wit, or logic, or something. It’s your OP, you should at least try, don’t you think? To answer your question, the “it”, which seemed evident to me from the context, is “OMG’s refusal to accept your bet”. His refusal doesn’t prove your thesis that this proves he is a troll, any more than Trump’s offer to Obama, which Obama ignored, proved Trump’s thesis that Obama \*is therefore \*a foreign citizen/fraud/poor student/whatever Trump could fling against the wall. Other, plausible, reasons for OMG’s declining, (including OMG himself, of course) were offered by various posters. If your opinion cannot be disproven/falsified, as you posited in an above thread, does that suggest that all opinions are equally valid, including Trump’s opinion of Obama, and yours of OMG’s being a troll? If not, why not? BTW, have you noticed that the majority of posters to this thread don’t seem to agree with your assertion? (My general impression, I haven’t kept a running tally). What, if anything, do you make of that? I do withdraw my earlier observation that this thread was a waste of time. It is, at least for the moment, somewhat entertaining. ---

To be clear, I think it is valid and useful to ask somebody whether they would put their money or rep where their mouth is.
