By the way…I have a personal experience to relate. When I was a teenager, I drove a Mustang that got a lot of attention from the local police. I also worked a lot of weekend bar rush shifts which would necessitate my driving home at the wee hours of the morning. If a weekend went by without me getting pulled over, I was extatic.
My parents never really did anything about it because they felt the police were just keeping an eye on me.
When I turned 18, I used my right to consult an attorney about the situation. The third one I talked to said he could “get the ball rolling”, and he would only charge me if we actually had to see any court time. Seems I had found a lawyer that liked to pester the police department about harassment claims.
I do not know what he did, but I haven’t been pulled over only twice since then. That was ten years ago.
