My irk orifice is directly across from the break room. As in all things, it’s location, location, location. Anywho, the smell of burnt popcorn is waftin’ into my irkspace. For this reason somebody must die or suffer a severe paper cut. **flytrap** if the Rabbi said that to an Episcopal or Lutheran Bishop, he’d be chowin’ down on some poke tenderloin. 😃 ---

I acknowledged the Catholic nature of the joke 🙂 3. I’m willing to bet most (non-orthodox) Rabbis have tried pork, if only in order to see what they’re missing (and I suspect most Catholics will probably be willing to make a similar bet on their end… :eek: :D) 4. There’s another old joke, where the Rabbi and the Bishop actually each indulge in their taboo – the punchline being the Rabbi telling the Bishop “beats pork, doesn’t it? ;)” (this may or may not be the version \*\*Bobbio \*\*was hinting at…) ---

Well, I finished my diet forks that I’m taking to the gallery. And I also submitted my application to the trendiest of trendy shows that happens in my area. I honestly don’t expect to get in. I did once, but there’s a different person in charge now and she and I didn’t see eye to eye on another event that she organized so I expect that makes my small chance even smaller. Nonetheless, it doesn’t cost anything to apply and I was free that weekend anyways, so I guess I’ll just wait and see. I think I’m obsessed with creating winged creatures lately. I’m working on another one right now. After it’s done I’ve got to get ready to run some errands. (All of this just means that I’m avoiding making spoon rings. :D) ---

So I got to use one of my favorite stock lines on a camera jumping fool yesterday. I was downtown running my (finally / fully) rebuilt truck on a live shot where PEPCO, the local hated electric utility, was asking (and getting) a rate increase. It was after 6 and I was chilling in the truck while a fellow shooter was trying to record a standup with a reporter when a middle aged guy started to dance around like a fool behind him on camera. Since this wasn’t ‘live’ the crew decided to stop and wait for the guy to leave, but he stopped and camped out creating a stalemate. After a minute I decided to go distract him so the crew could get their work done. I walked over and politely tried to engage him in a conversation but he got defensive and cursed at me immediately. “Fuck you! It’s a free country! I can do what I want! Go ahead, call the cops!” So I pulled out my favorite one-liner and let him have it: “Hey man, I don’t come down to where you work and knock the dick out of _your_ mouth, why are you bothering us?” Deep red - sputter - he turned and walked away in defeat. I don’t get to use that one too often… ---

Home. We stopped t Lowe’s enroute to look at countertops and found a granite that I actually like! And it was priced a lot less than the quartz counters I liked. Plus they’d be installed by the manufacturer, not Lowe’s subcontractors, so yay for that, too! I need to take a sketch of the kitchen back to the store and they’ll work up an estimate. That’ll be #2. Then I’ll look around for one more local company to give me a quote. And with luck, I’ll have new counters before Thanksgiving. Tonight, I need to make sure the clothes I want to wear tomorrow are OK - it’s been a while since I wore that outfit, and if it doesn’t fit right, I may have to go buy something. We’ll see. I think supper will be grab whatever - **FCD** ’s tummy is upset from lunch. Poor baby.
