Why if you disagree with Obama and his policies some label you as a racist?

A conservative, here, and I saw some. I agreed (with serious reservations, due to “what constitutes Socialism” objections, since I actually studied Political Science) with them. Your point is???

Clinton actually governed (after '94, that is. Before that, well…, not so much.) somewhat to the right of Bush. Bush was never anything I would willingly call “conservative”. Bush, during his campaigns in '00 and '04. was only marginally better than the Democratic alternatives (and not by much). I miss Clinton… :frowning:

He can’t even get the timeline right. The stimulus bill was passed in early 2009 (February, I believe) and the PPACA didn’t get passed until something like April 2010.

Nothing makes your point as well as “poisoning the well”, is there. Nothing at all like destroying rational argument to make your (likely non-existent) point. Because you saw that, all Republicans, or even worse, all “Conservatives”, are JUST LIKE THAT. But your side never does that… You are doing well, here, in expanding “mutual understanding”. Yeah, you lefties are rational, so you all say… I’m waiting for evidence of that contention, not actually seeing much… Not expecting it, either… How about some actual EVIDENCE of your alleged superior rationality? Lefties… The self-evidently, obviously correct, assholishly arrogant. Wankers.

My point is that teabaggers don’t really care about what they pretend to care about. They didn’t care when Bush was doing it.

A lot of Tea Partiers actually don’t like Bush for that and also his stand on immigration.

If you don’t think that you should be responsible for the actions of some of your compatriots, why do you insist that we should be?

Wrong, wrong and wrong. Refer to one of my previous post and the title of this thread. I am not holding anyone responsible except those that did it. What I asked for was some insight as to why those who choose to act this way do. Once again I asked why SOME did this, not why everyone does. There is no hypocrisy present, but really don’t let that stop you.

Nor do lefties, vis-a-vis Obama. I’m not seeing a difference here.

The only way Obama is a lefty is if your concept of the middle is somewhere just right of Calvin Coolidge.

Leave this sort of comment for The BBQ Pit.

N/m. Saw the moderation.

Voted before anybody could actually read the bills. So yes, shoved through.

They say that now, but they weren’t making Joker signs when he was in office.

You didn’t see lefties calling Bush a socialist, so this is a pretty pathetic attempt at equivalency.

Not anybody? Can you *really *not even paraphrase a Fox talking point?

The bill has fewer words than Palin’s "auto"biography. Over the course of the year and a half your guys were obstructing something the people had elected the Democrats to do, anybody who actually wanted to could have found the time to actually look at it instead of whining and kicking.
CitizenPained, still waiting. Not expecting, but waiting nonetheless.

As I said in my “reason for edit”. I’m done. Argue with yourself. Or your strawman of my position. I don’t care. As I said, I’m done. I’m not going to be banned over this question.

So, this is kind of off-topic, but here’s something I’ve been wondering. Why is it that when Bush was portrayed as a monkey, it was political satire, but when Obama is portrayed as a monkey, it’s racism?

Because, unlike Bush, Obama doesn’t look or grin like a chimp.

So, there have to be other reasons at play, wouldn’t you say?

Can’t even start a sentence without invoking a Democratic talking point about Fox. Congrats. Since this is Great Debates I’ll just ask for a list of Representatives who read the 1900 page health care bill. While you’re compiling that mythical list I’ll just quote Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s own words: “We have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it”.

It was shoved through before people could read it and that included the public as well as the people voting on it.

ElvisL1ves, you’ll be waiting for awhile.

You have no idea what you’re talking about.

You can’t even talk about it without reciting the FOX liturgy.

They were working on the bill for a year. Think really hard about this. If you are writing a 300 page novel and you change a scene on page 226 so that the character is wearing a white t-shirt instead of a black one, does that mean you haven’t read the novel?

Honestly, your complaint shows you have little understanding of how laws are made. It’s just a nonsense objection.
