I’ve had no problem accessing, and staying accessed to, BNet via AOL. I have encountered some lag due to having a dialup but nothing seroius. I also need to refresh the page approximately every 100 sites.
I believe what it’s actually reporting is your connection speed between the terminal (your computer) and the modem. The number pretty much means nothing because the connection between you and AOL’s POP, over the phone line, is much slower.
It’s just so, i can’t figure out where to begin… IT IS THE EVIL SPAWN OF SATAN!!! It’s the tool of the evil soccer mom grandma e-mailing freaks of america. I burn the free aol cds that i get in the mail, they look funny in the microwave… DEATH TO AOL AND ALL OF IT’S FOLLOWERS!!!

Try to cancel AOL and then see why they suck ass! They will not let you cancel, they sent my mom to collections before they would cancel her account. Plus, everytime we called there we would get this “Sorry, you are at the wrong dept.” thing five times before we would be transfered to the right dept. Cable modem with Road Runner rules, it’s about $17 bucks more and very worth it!
