# Why is atheism a sausagefest?

I’m an atheist, and so are most of my friends and acquaintances. The occasional religion/lack of religion topic comes up on Facebook, but overall it’s kind of a non-issue. I don’t see myself joining online groups that are only based on atheism. I’d much rather come to sites like the Dope, where there are a variety of intelligent opinions on such issues.

It never occurred to me that it’s any kind of gender issue.
