My friend in Philly pays about $250/month. One of the highest jurisdictions around. He has a six or seven year old Mercedes.
Two dudes with nearly identical cars can pay vastly different rates here in the USA. Sorry, but two examples does not make a case that Insurance is any more expensive in Canada, except for the dollar conversion.
