# Why is "Batman and Robin" so reviled?

Ladies and gentlemen, the Great and Malignant SPOOFE will give you the - THE - perfect example to demonstrate just WHY B&R sucked:

There’s a scene in some factory/warehouse/whatever where Batsy and Robes are fighting the villains. Poison Ivy’s love-dust disrupts them and distracts our heroes long enough for the villains to escape.

Batman regains his bearings and senses just as Ivy a Co. disappear down a hallway or something.

For some reason, Batman just _watches them go_.

That’s right. He doesn’t chase after them. He doesn’t run to catch up to these dastardly villains to prevent them from murdering potentially thousands of people.

_HE STANDS THERE AND WATCHES THEM RUN AWAY_.

Why? I dunno.

But that’s why B&R sucked.

Guys, Ludovic’s defective! Get him to the B&R-Hater Clinic and re-lobotomize him! Hurry, before he infects the rest of the populace!

… Er, I mean… sorry, man, but there’s a level of camp that just doesn’t fly. For one, it’s kinda hard to picture Batman being incompetent.

But then again, I loved _Super Mario Bros._ and _Escape from LA_, so who am I to judge?

Batman and Robin is just a 90 minute gay joke? I’ve heard this somewhere and then something about homoerotic in this thread, someone care to elaborate? Is it just cause 3 dudes live together?

Something like that was said in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, comparing the Bluntman and Chronic movie to B&R.
