# Why is Citrucel (and I assume other fiber pills) so hard to find these days?

I noted the dearth of fiber supplements in the [QZ shortages thread last year](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/so-what-shortages-are-you-personally-seeing/916268/3). It seems to have eased where I live.

For a while I was forced to use the unflavored Metamucil powder—bleah! I mixed it with Tang to make it more palatable.
