Flat cola is flat, perfect for de-staining toilets and dissolving jewels. Even fizzy, I hated it, till I was turned on to Cuba Libres. (In Central America, the cola costs more than the rum.) My taste buds were shot off in the war so I can stand to chug straight cola now but I’d rather not unless I need caffeine faster than I can brew coffee.
