As Chuck Jones pointed out, [Daffy](http://images.wikia.com/looneytunes/images/4/42/DaffyDuck.jpg) looks nothing like a [real duck](http://www.wrcmn.org/pulse/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/female_mallard.jpg). He was not meant to be an accurate representation and there is nothing about him that looks even remotely like an actual duck of any species. ---

Daffy was supposed to be a different color, there was an issue with the financing. His bill got messed up. ---

Doesn’t anybody remember? Daffy is a “Blue Necked Woo Woo” Duck. That’ why he jumps around yelling,“Woo Woo!” That Elmer Fudd sure knows from ducks. ---

Interestingly, I just went over to my friends new place for the first time and her housemates have chickens and one duck. The duck is completely black. ---
